TUSCANY’S BORGO SANTO PIETRO REVEALS
SULL’ALBERO TRATTORIA, BRASSERIE & BAR
Five-star boutique hotel and estate Borgo Santo Pietro reopens in March 2018 with its newly renovated Sull’Albero Trattoria, Brasserie & Bar.
Formerly known as the Treehouse Trattoria & Bar, the space has been completely re-imagined, built around a giant spreading oak with a terrace overlooking sweeping views of the Valle Serena and the estate’s newest vineyards.
Inside, the light-filled interior evokes the feeling of dining in an immense treehouse, with table settings beneath the oak boughs, exquisite wood detailing and trailing plants overhead. Exposed beams, studded leather armchairs pulled up to a double-sided fireplace and clustered by the rough-hewn wooden bar create an elegantly rustic and laid-back atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a traditional Tuscan meal by the fire or a glass of wine on the terrace.
Sull’Albero’s menu showcases Borgo Santo Pietro’s ‘farm-to-plate’ philosophy, with organically cultivated ingredients sourced from its farm, artisan dairy and culinary gardens, including 0km meat, fresh cheeses and vegetables, free-range eggs and in-house prosciutto ham. Outside, the open courtyard offers a shady spot for a cool drink near the freshwater infinity pool, where diners can perch on a stool at the outdoor bar and watch an expert pizzaiolo make and twirl a wood-fired pizza from scratch. Each Monday evening, Sull’Albero plays host to Borgo Santo Pietro’s gourmet Farmers’ Market with a banquet of fresh produce and live music.
Sull’Albero will be open all day to hotel guests and the public alike, offering a range of snacks and meals from late morning until close, including lunch, dinner and aperitifs.
